Our Foretravel had a Cat 3208 and was trouble-free.

RE: Need help too old to tow

Maybe you could tow it? DH doesn't drive or tow any more, but I do. IMHO, it's not a good time to sell, at any rate. what does Dh stand for? Dear husband! :)

RE: San Antonio for the Holidays?

San Antonio is a beautiful city! We stayed at Admiralty RV Resort, which is nice, but there are several other good choices, too. The River Walk is the highlight of the city: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c342/prabson/rivertaxi.jpg

RE: Michael Thurmond's no-salt diet

I've been on his diet-by-body-type diet, which forbids salt. Yes, I lost about ten pounds in a couple of weeks, which is what I wanted to lose. His menus are pretty good but they involve frequent meals with quite a bit of preparation. If you're willing to take the time and trouble it's well worth it.

RE: Oh-oh, my MH dream may be evaporating....

OK--your wife is absolutely right. And unless she catches the RV bug, too, you won't win her over. I'm not sure why you need 'bunks'--for the kids? There are some very classy older Class A MHs out there. Paying cash is a great idea, BTW. At least you won't find yourself 'upside down' on a loan like a lot of people are right now. I'm the frugal one in our home, too, and DH had to convince me to buy our DP, but I fell in love with it more than he did. But we both had the RV 'bug'. And, when that happens, common sense just evaporates. :W Incidentally, The Beave makes some very good points.

RE: Calphalon or Cuisinart???

Personally, I like the glass lid, which the Cuisinart has.

RE: Observations of a Campground Owner

We see these things all the time--especially #4! It's true--there are some people who never feel that rules apply to them. Good post!!!

RE: Opinions of Country Coach

They are very good but, having owned a Foretravel, we think they have some competition. ;)

RE: what's your garbage can?

A plastic bucket makes a great trash receptacle and can be used for other things as well. It's easy enough to pull out the trash can liner when you need to use it as a bucket. And we find it is just the right size for a day's worth of garbage. I'm not sure of the volume, but it's about 12" high.

RE: idaho campgrounds

Two of my favorite state parks are Three Island Crossing and Massacre Rocks. I'll second that! Beautiful parks and both have water & electric.

RE: Bigfoot Closing it's doors

Seems like, in general, it's the quality manufacturers that are going under. Hate to see it!

RE: Pleasure-Way Newest Addition 2009 Lexor-RD

Do you happen to know if they will still make the TD model (twin beds) and will it also have an enclosed bath?

RE: Cleaning Corian countertops....Bachelor needs help.

I use ultra-fine steel wool for many such jobs with good success. It will not harm the surface. Use it wet with a little dish soap.
